The risk score assigned to each email is a mathematical sum of the email's data passed through a layered scoring system. Each layer's score is multiplied by a weight that reflects how strongly its indicator correlates with malicious content. For example, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC failures are assigned high weight, as emails failing these authentication checks are strongly associated with spoofing and phishing. However, these indicators represent only a fraction of the layers our engine evaluates.
These weighted scores are then summed to determine the risk level category assigned to each email. Separately, AI text and image analysis results are displayed alongside the risk label in the table, giving you a complete picture of every message that reaches your inbox.
